The nautical signal flags are used for communication in the maritime industry.
Say for instance, a vessel is discharging or loading in dangerous volatile cargoes. Well this needs to be communicated to other vessels around so they can give her some distance for safety reasons.
How? - telephone call. They just have to call any vessel coming close.
I kid ofcourse, that would be crazy in busy waters. What they'll do instead is hoist/display the bravo flag. Any vessel that sees this would understand and act accordingly.
So now, with expertise in web development, I made an installable web application with offline access that can be used to learn this flags and their meanings or parhaps for quick referencing any flag sighted.
Ioweb would continue to support the maintenance and improvement of this web app.
